DraftKings PGA Championship Sleeper Picks
Last week’s four picks did average. No awful finishes from my lower priced guys I sent out, but the best finish was a T14. This week we’ve got the PGA Championship, which is basically the last big golf tournament of the year for DraftKings contests – as the focus turns to NFL 🙂
This year’s PGA Championship is being played at Quail Hollow Club, which a lot of the PGA Tour players are familiar with from the Wells Fargo Championship. I will be using some of the past course history data, along with recent form, and other stats found in the FantasyLabs models to come up with my main DraftKings picks for the week.
Here are a few guys I like at the lower price range at DraftKings.
DraftKings Sleeper Picks for PGA Championship
Finau $7,000 – He will be very popular, but I couldn’t leave him off at the $7k price. He’s played this course twice finishing 28th and 16th and comes off 5 straight tournaments inside the Top 30. He isn’t really a sleeper pick, but he’s at the price that I usually give out the picks at so I’ve included him among the four picks.
Reed $7,300 – In his past four times at this course he has finished 28th, 58th, 32nd and 32nd. Reed will be a bit of a sleeper pick at DraftKings as there are a lot of other good golfers in the price range, and Reed hasn’t been playing stellar golf lately. He did have a decent 36th place finish last week, and a 19th place finish at the European Open 2 weeks ago. He finished 13th at the US Open, and we know this guy can close golf tournaments.
Schauffele $7,000 – No course history here, but I won’t stop taking this guy until he starts to fall off (if that happens). Right now he’s coming off a 13th place finish at a strong Bridgestone Invitational field, 20th at the Open Championship, and a win at the Greenbrier Classic. He hasn’t missed a cut since May and has a ton of top finishes during that time.
Z. Johnson $6,800 – When you think of this course Johnson may not be the type of golfer you think of, but he’s had some past success here. He hasn’t missed a cut here in his last 7 tries and has 3 Top 15s in that span. After a rough start to the year, Johnson has really turned it around, with a 5th, 14th and 2nd place finish in his last 3 events.
A lot of my core this week comes from the top ranking players in The Sports Geek Pro Model at FantasyLabs.com. If you sign up you will have instant access to the pro models, including that one. With NFL season right around the corner, I highly suggest you sign up here through my link!
Good luck this week with your PGA Championship lineups at DraftKings and any bets you place at the betting sites. Hopefully one of you take home the Million Dollar first prize in the big DraftKings GPP contest!
